FANNIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS TAKING BACK UNWANTED PRESCRIPTION DRUGS APRIL 27 AT PARRIS PHARMACY

The Fannin County Sheriff’s Office is taking back unwanted prescription drugs Saturday April 27th at Parris Pharmacy, Blue Ridge, GA from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Fannin County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your medications for disposal to Parris Pharmacy at 4295 Old Hwy 76 next to Food Lion. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

This is a great opportunity for those who missed the previous events, or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications.

In the five previous Take-Back events, DEA in conjunction with our state, local, and tribal law enforcement partners have collected more than 2 million pounds (1,018 tons) of prescription medications were removed from circulation.

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposal, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of these medications.
