Ledford Jane : Obituary

Mrs. Jane Ledford, age 64, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on February 19, 2013 in the Fannin Regional Hospital following an extended illness.Born in Fannin County, GA she was the daughter of the late Paul and Bonnie Allen Verner. She was a member of Damascus Baptist. She loved being around children, cooking, flower gardening and reading.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Ledford of the home; son, John E. Ledford of Blue Ridge; sisters, Marlene Newberry and Annette (Dennis) Cook all of Blue Ridge; nieces and nephews, Robin Dyer, Wade Newberry, Mark Newberry, Scotty Newberry, Denny Cook, Jason Cook and Joey Cook; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Frances Cook, Bobby Ledford, Harold Ledford, Randall Ledford, Bernice Hancock, Ray Ledford and Ellis Ledford; canine companion, Peanut.

Funeral services will be Friday February 22, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Padgett and Rev. Glen Collis officiating. Music will be provided by the Beach Family. Interment will follow in the Damascus Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Wade Newberry, Mark Newberry, Scotty Newberry, Jason Cook, Denny Cook and Randy Epperson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m.
