Mr. Charles Huston Cook, Sr. age 88, of McCaysville, Georgia, passed away February 9, 2013 at the Northside Hospital in Atlanta GA. Mr. Cook was born May 4, 1924 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Fred G. Cook and Daisy Welch Cook. Charles was of the Baptist Faith. He served his nation in three wars, WWII, Korea War, and the Vietnam War. After leaving the Marines he was employed by Lockheed, in Marietta, GA, as an engineer. His job had him traveling the world. He moved to Fannin County after retiring from Lockheed. He had been living in McCaysville for the last seven years.
Survivors include: wife, Betty Green Cook, son, Charles “Chuck” H. Cook Jr.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Charles M. Duncan speaking. Military Honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
The family will meet with family and friends Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 10: 00 A.M. until time of the service.
