The long awaited water agreement has been signed by Morganton City Council Members.After extensive negotiations, Fannin County Water Authority and Morganton City Council have agreed and the water agreement has been signed by Morganton council members.
During their January 8th meeting, Mayor Mike England opened the floor for council members to express their questions or concerns. The only evident concern was that there was no minimum purchase amount in the contract but after discussing the details, the decision was unanimous.
Upon signing the agreement, Fannin County Water Authority will be contacted to sign the agreement to put it into effect.
