During the Fannin County Board of Education’s December meeting, Director of Curriculum and School Improvement Karen Walton announced that the district has received the results of the graduation test writing exams for the junior class.Out of 184 school systems in the state of Georgia, Fannin County is ranked 11th highest in scores. To break it down further, there are 428 high schools in the state and out of this large number, Fannin is ranked 50th. Pickens County holds the rank of 119th and Gilmer County sits at 360th. Chair Mercier was thrilled, as all the board members were. Mercier said she feels the score were high due to the districts use of technology.
