Roger “Doc” Beavers : Obituary

Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville announces service for Mr. Roger “Doc” Beavers, age 66, of Blairsville who passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, November 30, 2012.

Doc” was born in Murphy, North Carolina, on July 12, 1946, a son of the late Claude Ralph Beavers and the late Minnie Louise Green Beavers. He was a carpenter, and had lived in Blairsville for the past 43 years. A member of New Harmony Baptist Church, “Doc” loved to be outdoors – he was an avid sportsman, who loved hunting and fishing – turkey hunting was his favorite. “Doc” also enjoyed working in the garden. Besides his parents, a brother, Michael Beavers, also had preceded him in death.

Services were Sunday, December 2nd, 2012, 3:00 pm, at the Cochran Funeral Home Blairsville.

Visitation was Saturday, December 1st, 2012, 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Cochran Funeral Home provided the obituary and is in charge of arrangements.
