Mrs. Lucille Green Kinser, age 86 of Blue Ridge, passed away December 3, 2012 at the Heritage Healthcare Nursing Home. Mrs. Kinser was born November 3, 1926 in Fannin, NC to the late John Newton and Arlevia Wayman Green. A member of New Antioch Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Homer Kinser, brother, Hubert Green, sister, Nell Miller, sister, and Kate Watkins. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and fishing with her husband.
Survivors include one brother, Frank Green, one sister, Marjorie Thrasher, and many Nieces & Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the New Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Green & Rev. Jackie Cochran officiating. Music provided by the New Antioch Baptist Church Choir. Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The gentleman serving as Pallbearers will be Franklin Green, Terry Thrasher, Richard Campbell, Nathan Campbell, Ricky Burnett, & Bill Burnett. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Greene, Charles Miller, Eddie Miller, & Jack Adams.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home, Tuesday & Wednesday night from 6-9 pm.
