Mrs. Mamie Watson Foster, age 89, of Epworth, Georgia passed away Friday. November 30, 2012 at her home. Mamie was born, the third child of nine, Wednesday, November 28, 1923 in Faninn County to the late Charles Wesley Watson and the late Mary Eva Allison Watson. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.T. Foster.
Mamie was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, always thinking of others. She had a ministry in sending cards, and never failed to send birthday, get well, and sympathy cards to her family and friends. She loved to read and always had a flower garden. She worked at Levi Strauss for five years, and later retired from Kimsey Pharmacy in Ducktown, TN. She was a member Lebanon Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Patricia & Bill McGlamory ; son & daughter-in-law, Chuck & Betty Foster ; granddaughters, Liz Patterson; Laura Patterson ; and grandson, Luke Foster; sisters, Beth Carter, Mary Lou Hutchinson, and Allie Payne and brothers, Willard and James (Mary)Watson. Many nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 7:30 pm at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Reverend Claude Mathis officiating. Music was provided by Martha Kries. Interment in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.
