Dorothy A. Cantrell : Obituary

Mrs. Dorothy A. Cantrell, age 71, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 in the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN.Mrs. Cantrell was born in Cobb County, GA on April 10, 1941 to the late Miles R. Taylor or Deilah Towe Taylor. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Smyrna, GA and was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lee Cantrell; brothers, David Taylor, Miles Benjamin “Bud” Taylor, and Raymond Taylor; and sisters, Glenda Sue Neese and Debra Ann Taylor.

She is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd and Joan Taylor of Dallas, GA, Harvey Taylor of Gainesville, GA, John and Tammy Taylor of Kennesaw, GA, and Michael and Becky of Dallas, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy and Tom Oakley of Warren, NC, Dadie and Timmy Sullins of Dahonega, GA, Margaret Ledford of Young Harris, GA, Carol Moore of Clermont, GA and Violet Brown of Hiawassee, GA.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Tim Sullens and Rev. Timothy Sullens officiating. Music will be by Christina Sullens, and Julia Youngblood. Pallbearers will be Ben Brown, Clint Berry, David Ray, Michael Taylor, Jesse Taylor, Mike Neace, and Dolores Rosas. Interment will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park in Kennesaw, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
