Fire Report:7 Fannin County Firefighters responded to a back yard on fire in the Mineral Bluff Hwy area of McCaysville on Friday afternoon which burned approximately ¼ Acre (mainly leaves) and almost ignited a barn. Engine 4, Med 4 were on the scene.
Sunday afternoon around 2:30 PM, Fannin County Fire Department responded to a residence on West Tennessee Ave. in McCaysville for a possible house fire. On arrival firefighters found light smoke in the house and discovered a mop on fire that had been left near a space heater. No significant damage was reported. 9 firefighters from station 4 and station 5 responded along with engine 4 and med 4.
