The Fannin Rebels football team traveled to North Hall to take on the Trojans. The Rebels will most assuredly remember the Trojan’s were not horsing around, as the Trojans ran roughshod over the Rebels with a 63-0 shut out victory.The Trojans scored early on a 63 yard run just 19 seconds into the game, for a quick 6-0 lead after a failed extra point. The Trojans scored again on a 68 yard run with 5:50 left in the first to put the home team up 13-0. A touchdown pass with 13 seconds left in the first saw the Trojans take a 20-0 lead into the second quarter.
The Trojans added two more touchdowns in the second quarter, both on runs, to take a 35-0 lead into halftime. The Trojans amassed 416 yards from scrimmage in the first half, while conversely holding Fannin to 45.
The second half closely resembled the first, as the Trojans added 13 points in the third quarter, and 15 more in the fourth, including a two point conversion off a fake extra point while up 54-0. The last touchdown came via a 93 yard interception return with 59 seconds left in the game.
The Rebels were out gained 495 to 103 on the ground, and 510 to 228 in total yards. Fannin next faces Banks at home on Friday October 19th.
