Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces the death and funeral services for Mrs. Lois Marguerite Lightfoot, 82 years of age, of Blairsville, who passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Lightfoot was born in Gastonia, North Carolina, on December 10, 1929, a daughter of the late Jim Melton and the late Mary Leah Millsap Melton. She had been preceded in death by her first husband, Gale Lightfoot, Sr.; second husband, Bill Nichols; a son, Gene Nathaniel Lightfoot; and a brother, Bill Potts.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lightfoot have been scheduled for Thursday, October 4, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville.
Visitation at the funeral home will begin on Thursday, the same day of the funeral service, at 12 noon, and last until time for the service to begin. Burial will be in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blairsville.
