Mr.Wilbur Dubois Bell, Jr., age 90 of Blue Ridge, passed away September 28, 2012 at the Fannin Regional Hospital.Mr. Bell was born September 24, 1922 in Ridgeley, W.V. to the late Wilbur D. Bell, Sr. and Lina Brant Bell. Wilbur served his country in the Navy during WWII and he retired in 1994 as an Assembly of God minister after 50 years. He is preceded in death by David Wilbur Bell and Sharon Rebecca Bell.
Survivors include, spouse, Hope Bell, daughter, Susan Hunter, daughter, Beverly Whitmer, son, Jonathan Bell, grandson, Max Boward, grandson, Kevin Whitmer, grandson, Brian Whitmer, grandson, Joel Bell, granddaughter, Eyvonne McMillan, granddaughter, Sharon Rogers, great-grandson, Solomon Boward, great-granddaughter, River Boward, great-granddaughter, Ellawyn Boward, great-grandson, Justin Rogers, great-grandson, James “Oz” Whitmer, great-grandson, Jonah Whitmer, great-grandson, Samuel Whitmer, great-granddaughter, Amber McMillan, great-granddaughter, Daisy McMillan, great-granddaughter, Abigail Rogers, great-granddaughter, Keeley Whitmer, great-granddaughter, Rylee Whitmer, great-granddaughter, Allie Whitmer.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 12:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Min. Don Parnley & Min. Steve Lamb officiating and with military honors from the North Georgia Honor Guard. Music provided by Ginny Helstrom and Beverly Whitmer. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30 pm. Honorary pallbearers will be the North Georgia Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from11:00 am – 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Wesley Glen Ministries at 4580 North Mumford Rd., Macon, Ga 31210.
