James Roy Odum : Obituary

Mr. James Roy Odum, age 80, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA.Mr. Odum was born on February 5, 1932 in Fannin County, GA to the late Elick Odum and Edna Puckett Odum. He was of the Baptist faith and preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Williams Odum and a daughter, Janice Ann Odum.

He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Elaine Odum of Blue Ridge; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Shirley Odum of Blue Ridge; sister and brother-in-law, Jennie and Tom Walker of McCaysville; and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Michael Collis officiating. Eulogy will be given by Shirley Odum. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
