East Fannin Elementary is Hosting Author’s Fair September 18th

East Fannin Elementary School invites you to join us for our Author’s Fair next week, Tuesday, September 18th from 5 -6pm. The program will be coupled with our Family Night Book Fair. The Book Fair will be open for families from 5:00 – 7:00. There will be centers set up from children and their parents to participate in during the Author’s Fair. Also, our Students of the Month for August will be presented at the meeting.

Center 1 – Reading with Dorothy. – “Follow the yellow brick road” (discuss book/movie relationships)
Center 2 – Book Walk – this is similar to a cake walk, where books will be the prize
Center 3 – “How Does Your Garden Grow?” Students will hear a book about growing and caring for plants.
They will then get to plant their own seed to take home.
Center 4 – Sign-Language Reader – Mrs. Harper will be signing children’s books. Mrs. Satterfield will also have on display all the books related to hearing impaired and sign language from our media center on displayed for students to check out.
Open Centers
1 – Guess that Book – Familiar lines from children’s books will be listed. Student can work with their parents to guess the name of the book they are from.
2- Book exchange – students can bring in old books from home an swap out for another book in the bin.
