Frances Cleveland, age 95 of Hiawassee, passed away August 17, 2012 at Brasstown Manor.Mrs. Cleveland was born June 25, 1917 in Atlanta, GA to the late William Clements Walker and the late Melinda Catherine Drum Walker. Mrs. Cleveland attended Fulton County High School where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. After retiring from a career with the Internal Revenue Service, she and her husband, C.J., moved to Hiawassee where she has resided for the past 35 years and where she was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Cleveland was preceded in death by her husband, C.J. Cleveland, and daughter, Danna Cleveland.
Survivors include: sons, William Thomas Cleveland of Hiawassee and John Patrick Cleveland and his wife, Dawn Henninger, of Columbia, MD, two granddaughters, Laura Elizabeth and Jill Melinda Cleveland and sister, Grace Huey of Deltona, FL.
The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee Sunday evening, August 19th, from 7 until 8 p.m.
There will be a private family graveside service Monday, August 20th at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
