Mrs. Korynn C. Arp, age 71, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 in the Heritage Hospice Care in Marietta, GA. Mrs. Arp was born in Ducktown, TN on August 7, 1940 to the late Ed Cheatham and Edith Hall Cheatham. She was retired from the Fannin County Department of Family & Children’s Service where she worked as an executive secretary. She was a member of First Baptist Church Epworth, GA and was preceded in death by her huband Emory Arp.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Juanita Arp of Blue Ridge; sisters, Joanne Cheatham of Ducktown, TN and Judy (Tom) Lackey of McCaysville, GA; grandchildren, Debi Hancock and James Arp.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music will be by Barbara Cheatham. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church Epworth, GA Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
