Mark Marshall : Obituary

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mark William Marshall, age 28, of Cumming, Georgia, formerly of Hiawassee, Georgia, who passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012.

Mark was a native of Stuart, Florida, and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, serving as a Corporal. He has lived most of his life in Blairsville, and was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church in Hiawassee. Mark was a Mason, and an officer with Towns County Sheriff’s Office in Hiawassee. He had been preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert L. Harvey.

Mark will be greatly missed by all who knew him; but especially his loving family: wife, Jamie Marshall, of Young Harris; two daughters, Hailey Ann Marshall and Riley Marshall, of Young Harris; his parents, Gary and Heather Marshall, of Cumming, Georgia; grandmother, Janice Harvey, of Blairsville; two aunts, Holly McShane, of Clarksville, Georgia; Linda Handly, of Renton, Washington; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Paige Marshall, of Blairsville; sister and brother-in-law, Brandee and Andre Guzman, of Moses Lake, Washington; and brother, Will Marshall, of Soap Lake, Washington; many cousins, nieces, and nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 4:00 p.m., at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church in Hiawassee.

On the same day of the funeral, visitation will be held at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church in Hiawassee, between the hours of 2 until 4 p.m.

Burial will be in Laurel Hills Memorial Gardens, with military honors conferred by U.S. Marine Corps.

If you wish to do so, memorial contributions may be made to a fund established for his daughters, Hailey Ann and Riley, at United Community Banks.
