Richard Crosley Salutes Honor Guard

Below is the thank you letter sent from Richard Crosley & Family to the North Georgia Honor Guard on May 26th, 2012.May 26, 2012

From: Richard Crosley & Family

Subject: Private Family Honor Guard Ceremonies (2) on Kyle Road (Saturday, May 26, 2012)

TO: All North Georgia Honor Guard Members

Thanks to each of you for making this a SPECIAL MEMORIAL DAY for My family and me on Saturday, May 26th, 2012. There could have been no greater way of having my Dad’s American Flag being presented to my Brother with such Honor, Dignity, and Respect.

This was regarded by my family as being one of the highest forms of Honor and Respect that could have been shown for us this Memorial Day (and also this day was my Brother, Larry’s 67th Birthday…). Especially by the group I am proud and grateful to be a team member of…. You all made everything that much more special.

As some of you may already know, my Dad (Earl Henry Crosley) was a career Army veteran, and a combat veteran in both WWII, and the Korean War. He passed away in 1963 and his Flag was presented to my Mom at that time. Our Mom recently passed away in March of this year, and among her most important possessions was “His Flag” (with 48 stars). So as you can see, there could have been no greater gift and honor than to have this very special part of our family possession passed along to my brother, than with this type of ceremony. For this we (my Family) will be forever grateful to each of you.

Thank you, and I Salute You,

Richard Crosley

PS: My brother’s wife (Barbara) also has the same highest respect and appreciation for this type ceremony. And comes from a family with a strong military heritage. Her late Father (Woodrow Johnson, Corning Arkansas) was a U.S. Army Combat veteran, captured, wounded, and held in enemy POW concentration camp for many years.
