Linda Newberry : Obituary

Ms. Linda Elizabeth Newberry, age 63 of Mineral Bluff, passed away June 24, 2012 at Life Care Center of Copper Basin. Ms. Newberry was born May 19, 1949 in McCaysville, GA to Elzie Dean Newberry and Artie Weaver Newberry. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by brother, John Newberry, brother, Raymond Newberry, sister, Ellen Mealer, sister, Edith Newberry, brother, Allen Newberry.

Survivors include: sister, Shirley Garrison, brother, Hollis Newberry, brother, Larry Newberry, brother, Doug Newberry, brother, Richard Newberry, many nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Hooper officiating. Interment will follow in Tickanetly Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Hollis Newberry, Tim Garrison, Rodney Garrison, Doug Newberry, Scott Mealer, & Charles Fish. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Mineral Springs School staff.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Linda to the Mineral Springs School.
