Bradley Once a Democrat, Sneed Says

Superior Court Judge Candidate Robert Sneed turned up the heat on opponent Judge Roger Bradley this week. During the Gilmer County Republican Meeting last night, Sneed challenged his opponent’s political views.

“I’d always heard that Judge Bradley was a Democrat,” Sneed said, “Saturday he informed us he was not a Democrat; he was a Republican.”

For his part, Sneed asserted,

“I’m a conservative Republican.”

Sneed, an attorney and municipal judge, said he has heard the same stories about what’s wrong with the system. According to these stories, he said,

“The judge is not signing orders on a timely basis; he’s not enforcing his own orders; it’s taking an inordinate amount of time to run cases through the system.”

He noted on average cases are taking between six and seven years to move through the system. Even more significantly, Sneed asserted he was concerned about the child support cases, where children are left in situations where mothers and fathers fight over who will get custody over the child or children.

“I’m hearing that it’s taking up to 2 years to get a temporary hearing on these cases.”

At this point, he said, nobody is looking out for the kids.

Concluding his brief talk, Sneed said,

“It’s time for a change…it’s time for somebody to stand up and clean-up this mess.”

Judge Bradley was not in attendance to answer these claims.
