Nola Leona Bell : Obituary

The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Mrs. Nola Leona Hancock Bell, age 91, of Copperhill, TN who passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Copper Basin Medical Center. Mrs. Bell was born on August 18, 1920 in Cherokee County, NC to the late William Ellard and Edith Ledford Hancock. She was a homemaker and a member of Kingtown Baptist Church. Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband James Lake Bell and sons-in-law, Charles Boggs and Carson Moss.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, James Donald and Vicki Bell of Copperhill, TN, Roy L. and Jewell Bell of Copperhill, TN, William Lee and Carolyn Bell of Copperhill, TN and James Christopher and Theresa Bell of Copperhill, TN; daughters, Ruth Ann Boggs of Copperhill, TN and Linda Sue Moss of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters, Lura Walker of Powder Springs, GA, Rosie Harris of Mineral Bluff, GA and Willa Ballew of Murphy, NC; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Gary Parris officiating. Music will be by Mary Jo Towe. Pallbearers will be John Moss, Wayne Moss, Heath Lisk, Craig Lisk, Rusty Boggs, Dylan Boggs, Jim Walker and Adam Bell. Interment will be in the Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill is in charge of the arrangements.
