Brenda Joyce Minick, age 68, of Eastman, GA passed away Friday, May 4, 2012. Mrs. Minick was born in Blue Ridge, GA to the late William and Ruby Bell Messer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge and was the owner of Minick Pizza. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Rhonda Jane Minick Chavis and siblings, Bobby Messer, Barry Messer, Barbara Messer and Linda Stiles.

She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Minick, Sr of Eastman, GA; son, Rev. James (Lisa) Minick, Jr of Baxley, GA; brothers, William Messer, Jr, Buck Messer, Richard Messer, Benny Messer and Danny Messer, all of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters, Debra Messer and Joy Messer, both of Blue Ridge, GA; five grandchildren, Kristina Ochsenbein, Travis Dollar, James Minick, III, Zeke Chavis and Zoie Chavis.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 7th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan and Rev. James Minick, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Church of Christ cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
