Viola Davenport Foster : Obituary

Mrs. Viola Davenport Foster, age 92, of Epworth, GA passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA.Mrs. Foster was born on December 7, 1919 in Fannin County, GA to the late Samuel Thomas Davenport and Sudia Jones Davenport. She worked as a nurse’s aide for the Fannin County Nursing Home and was a member of Colwell Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emet Lee Foster, Sr.; a daughter, Joyce Foster Conner; and grandchildren, Emily Foster, Allen Baker, and Raymond Allen.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law; Emmett and Anne Foster, Jr. of Smottsmoor, FL, and Jimmy and Bernice Foster of Epworth, daughters and sons-in-law; Barbara and Jim Allen of Scottmoor, FL, Ann and Jim Baker of Epworth, Carolyn Foster Call of Epworth, Nancy and Eddie Brooks of Dawsonville, GA, and Joan and Andy Milton of Ellijay, brothers and sisters-in-law; Grady and Suzanne Davenport of Scottsmoor, FL, 16 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her church family at Colwell Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Colwell Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Collis and Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music will be by Grandchildren of Mr. Foster. Interment will follow in Colwell Cemetery.
