Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Chanda Young Ivey, age 36, of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away suddenly on Monday, April 9, 2012, in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
Chanda was born in Blairsville on April 18, 1975, and was a lifelong resident of Blairsville. She graduated from Union County High School in 1993, and was a member of Union Baptist Church (Hood’s Chapel) in Blairsville.
Chanda was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her – especially her loving family members: mother and step-father, Carol and Royce Dyer of Blairsville; father, Curtis Young, of Blairsville; children, Dalton Chase Palmer of Blairsville; Mary Caroline Ivey, of Young Harris, Georgia; brother, Cody Young, of Blairsville; step-brother, Scott Dyer, of Hiawassee; niece, Baylee Young; step-niece, Savana Dyer; step-nephew, Tristin Dyer; uncles, aunts, cousins, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, with Rev. Benny Nix officiating.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening, with the family especially meeting with friends from 6 until 9 p.m.
Flowers are accepted; however, if you wish to do so, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
