James Paul (J.P.) Henry, age 89 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mr. Henry was born August 1, 1922 in Fannin County, GA to the late Everett and Beulah Davis Henry. He was a member of Toccoa Baptist Church, a US Army Veteran and a retired educator. He was preceded in death by Brothers: Emmett Henry, Thomas Henry, and Danny Henry.
Survivors include: wife, Louise P. Henry, son, Jimmy Henry, daughter, Mary Anne Henry Giles, son, Richard (Lynne) Henry, sister, Arzetta Buchanan, sister, Margie Brown, brother, Oscar Henry, sister, Faye Dillard, sister, Dorothy Conner, brother, Alvin Henry, sister, Jane Owens; grandchildren: Jamie Henry, Julie Townson, Jennifer Henry, Elizabeth Henry, Caleb Henry; great granddaughter, Marie Townson; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services: Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Buddy Pittman and Rev. Richard Chastian officiating. Music provided by Jimmy Ritter and Ray Ritchie. Interment will follow in Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Thrasher officiating. Pallbearers: John Ritchie, Ray Ritchie, Jonathan Jenkins, Joshua Jenkins, Andy Hyde and Stephen Henry.
