Gameplay started at 6Gilmer hosted the Fannin Rebels for a baseball game on Wednesday night. The Rebels thought that they would come out of Gilmer with a victory, but the Bobcats did not comply with Fannin’s thoughts. The Bobcats jumped to an early 2-0 lead until the Rebels finally scored a run at the top of the fourth inning. Gilmer answered with another run of their own in the bottom of the fourth, pushing their lead to 3-1. Fannin did not score another run until the top of the seventh inning. The Bobcats pushed their lead to 5-1 with two runs batted in(RBI) in the bottom of the fifth inning. Gilmer kept scoring runs with 4 RBIs, and a few errors on the part of Fannin, increasing the lead to 9-1. Kolton Galloway hit two singles to help the Rebels get on the board, and Todd Patterson hit a double in the top of the seventh inning to help the Rebels score three RBIs, but that was not enough to top the Bobcats, Fannin lost 9-4.
