Lena Delores Heaton, age 76 of Morganton, passed away February 19, 2012 at her home. She was born December 5, 1934 in Fannin County, GA to the late Rev. Augustus (Gus) Hunt and Docia Turner Hunt. She was preceded in death by brother; Clyde Hunt, and sister; Ruby Williams..

Survivors include: husband; Gerald Heaton, son; Phillip (Marti) Heaton, daughter; Stacey (Greg) Gilreath, granddaughters; Jillene Gilreath and Katelan Gilreath, sister; Myrtle Davenport, Brother; Robert Hunt.

Funeral services: Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A. J. Heaton and Rev. Buddy Pittman officiating. Music provided by: Marilyn Thomas, Highway 76, Stacy Gilreath, Debbie Cochran and Judy Williams. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Monday, February 20, 2012, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
