Flint Davis : Obituary

Mr. Flint Davis, 84 of Blue Ridge, Georgia died on Monday, January 23, 2012, at his home in Blue Ridge, Georgia.

Born Wednesday, August 3, 1927 in Clayhole, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Cleve Davis and the late Maggie Campbell Davis. He was the husband of Lina Wood Davis.

He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the Merchant Marines. He was preceded in death by six siblings, Grover, James, Ollie, and Chester Davis and Ora Bernard and Sally Dillard. He was also preceded in death by Mary Viers, a special person in his early years.

He was a member of First Baptist Church McCaysville/Copperhill.

Surviving are son, Rusty Davis of Morganton, GA, daughter, Sandi Step of Morganton, GA, brothers, Randolph Davis of Jackson, KY and George Davis of Louisville, KY, sisters, Hilda Anthony of Canton, OH and Edith Keeton of SC. two step-childrenTrevor Prince of Blue Ridge, and Heather Pipia of Waterford, Mich., five grandchildren, Mershalle, Rebecca and Cassidy Davis, Suzanne and Elizabeth Stepp, and four step-grandchildren , Alex and Lexie Prince, and James and Jacob Pipia. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
