Mrs. Blanche Key, age 88, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Wednesday January 18, 2012 in the Heritage Health Care Center.Born In Fannin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Martha Shook Miller. She retired from Taylor & Jones Furniture Manufacturing and was also a long time member of the Cherry Log Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband Clint William Key; one brother, Clyde Miller; sisters, Mary Rhodes, Venice Wilson, Elsie Mantooth and Girlie Miller.

Survivors include three sons and daughter-in-laws, Jerry and Betty Bearden, Robert and Jeanette Key, and Danny and Ruth Ann Key all of Blue Ridge, GA; one daughter, Martha L. Geter of Blue Ridge, GA; one brother, Robert Miller of Blue Ridge; one sister, Ellaree Watkins of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Deborah Miller, Joseph Geter, Michael Key, Timothy Key, Melissa Key, Anthony Key, Charles C. Key; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Key, Emily Key, Sophie Key, Clay Ware, Haley Ware, Bailey Geter, John Michael Geter, River Key, Chase Key and Lyndsay Key.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday January 20, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Gilliland officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Jim Gilliland, Rodney and Joyce Panter, and Barbara Gilliam. Interment will follow in the Cherry Log Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Joe Geter, Bailey Geter, Mike Key, Timmy Key, Tony Key and Chuck Key.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m.
