Mrs. Barbara Jane Morris, age 74, of Morganton, GA, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Heritage Health Care of Blue Ridge in Blue Ridge, GA. Born in Union County, GA she was the the daughter of the late Hubert and Nancy RichHolbrooks. She was an avid flower gardener. Her husband Robert Quinton Morris and grandson, Michael D. Carroll also precede her death.

Survivors include three Daughters: Sandy Carroll of Morganton, GA,Joan (Glenn) Lewis of Blue Ridge, GA, and Bonnie Bowers (Keith McFarland) of Blue Ridge, GA; grandchildren: Gretta (Kevin) Griffin, Kerry (Steve) Cofield, Jody Bowers, Shane Warren, and Kim (Justin)Foster, Shane Robinson (Mikey Carroll); great grandchildren: Miriam Foster, Chandler and Hunter Griffin, Wesley Robinson, Quartlyn Bowers and Xzavyer Winkler; canine companion, Bootsie.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Akins Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 8, 2012 with Rev. Michael Collis officiating. Music will be provided by Michael Carroll. Interment will follow at the Sugar Hill Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Glenn Lewis, Anthony Stanley, Steve Cofield, Keith McFarland, Justin Foster, and Jody Bowers.
