The Fannin County High School Rebels’ wrestling team split its home dual meets with the Yellow Jackets of Hayesville, and the Bobcats of Gilmer High School. The Rebels ran roughshod over the Jackets 60-36; however Fannin fell 76-3 to Gilmer.To local high school wrestling fans, the Gilmer/ Fannin match was extremely significant, due to the fact that Fannin’s head coach, Joshua Snider, was coaching against his own father, Gilmer head coach, Sam Snider, for the first time.
