The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Tammy Renee Martin, age 42, of Copperhill, TN who passed away Friday, November 25, 2011 in the Copper Basin Medical Center in Ducktown, TN.She worked as a waitress for the New York Restaurant and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her father Jackson Sparks.

She is survived by her fiancé, Brian Campbell; son, Kolton Mull of Mineral Bluff; daughter and son-in-law, Kaley and Casey Crawford of Epworth, GA; parents, Virginia and Danny Holt of Blairsville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Robin and John Stephens of Mineral Bluff; grandmother, Ditta Rogers; grandchildren, Lane Crawford and Leia Crawford, both of Epworth, GA; and a niece, Nichole Stephens of Mineral Bluff.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Phillip Weeks officiating. Pallbearers will be Rob Gladson, Jerry Bailey, Gary Abercrombie, Lynn Merrell, Chad Campbell, and Shane Campbell. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening after 6:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Ms. Martin may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
