OJ Maney, age 76 of Epworth, passed away November 9, 2011 at the Fannin Regional Hospital. OJ was born May 14, 1935 in Hayesville, NC to the late Burley and Alsie Watkins Maney. He was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church in Epworth, GA. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Robert Maney.
Survivors include: spouse, Betty Jo Maney, son, Ronnie Maney, step-daughter, Mary Dillard, step-son, Terry Dillard, sister, Pauline (Lloyd) Ledford, sister, Lue Jean (Keefer) Ledford, sister, Magline (Johnny) Ledford, brother, Junior Maney, grandson, Randy Dillard, granddaughter, Ashley Maney, granddaughter, Erin Maney, and granddaughter, Dena Maney. Also, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Lebanon Baptist Church with the Pastor David McLendon officiating. Music provided by Carol Jean Thomas. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include: Marvin Ledford, Marty Ledford, Joe Ledford, Steven Ledford, Bruce Ledford and Danny Ray Maney. Honorary pallbearers Terry and Randy Dillard.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Thursday evening from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
