Marvin Raper : Obituary

Marvin Raper, age 66 of Murphy, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. He was born September 7, 1945 in Cobb, GA to the late Arthur William Raper and Gertrude Thomas Raper . He was preceded in death by Brother, Hubert Raper.

Survivors include: mother, Gertrude Raper, wife, Terry Gibson Raper, daughter & son in law, Tara (Derek) Raper Sena, son, Nathanael Raper, son, Christopher Raper, sister, Lavaughn Fair, Brother, Hoyt Raper, sister and brother in law, Vernice “Tootsie” (Joseph) Kilpatrick”, sister in law, Dorothy Raper, granddaughters, Marceline Elizabeth Sena and Erika Rene Sena, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Monday, November 7, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Aud Brown and Rev. Calvin Murphy officiating. Music provided by: Susie Graham and Beck Brown. Interment will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Hoyt Raper, Nathanael Raper, Christopher Raper, Derek Sena, Wallace Gibson and Joseph Kilpatrick. Honorary pallbearers: Michael Raper, Terry Fair, Bill Cook, Arvil Cook, Bill Forsyth, Franklin Barnett, Stand Barnett, Noland Smith, Larry Kernea, Brian Smith and Wayne Wells.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy, Monday, November 07, 2011
11:00 am – 1:30 pm.
