Mary Frances Towe Wood : Obituary

Mrs. Mary Frances Towe Wood, age 92, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Friday, November 04, 2011 in the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN.Mrs. Wood was born in Bartow County, GA on August 15, 1919 to the late Alonzo Towe and Laura Mae Blalock Towe. She was a member of Friendship #3 Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Arthur B. Wood.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Omega Wood of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Kerry Plemmons of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Annah Dodge and her husband Nick Dodge of Maysville, GA, Dotti Plemmons of Norcross, GA, Dani Brown and her husband Paul Brown of Gainesville, GA and Brandon Wood of Dalton, GA; and great grandchildren, Cody Austin Dodge, Jacob Nicholas Dodge, Amber Towe, Sean Paul Brown, and Roman Ward Brown. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Kerry Plemmons and Rev. Alton Towe officiating. Music will be by Patrick Lindstrom and Jimmy Allen. Pallbearers will be Patrick Lindstrom, Greg Taylor, Greg Nazerian, Joe Ray, Bob Gaeta, and Jimmy Allen.

Graveside services and interment will follow in Friendship #3 Church Cemetery with Rev. Randy Hughes officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
