Mountain Harvest Arts and Crafts

Hundreds of people browsed the more than 100 unique vendors who populated the old Blue Ridge Farmer’s Market pavilion on the weekends of October 15 and 16 and 22 and 23. The 42nd Annual Mountain Arts and Crafts Harvest Sale featured vendors selling food and beverages, jewelry, apparel and accessories, home and garden decor, Christmas things and so much more. Most everything being sold was handcrafted using a variety of mediums, including wood, glass, metal and fabric.

Parking was convenient and free and there was no admission charge to the event. There was something for everyone and the items were reasonably priced. Shoppers walked away with arm fulls of bargains.

The Fannin County Homemakers Council sponsors the yearly event and according to member Joyce Patrick, the event has grown tremendously over the years. This year was a huge success; the beautiful weather was favorable for the hundreds of attendees. Mrs. Patrick thanks everyone for their participation and support.

All proceeds, minus the necessary expenses, go to more than 20 local charities and two scholarships totaling $2,000.00 are given to financially needy Fannin County High School seniors who might not be able to attend college otherwise.
