Paws in the Park is Saturday, October 22

Come out to the Blue Ridge City Park this Saturday to enjoy the Paws in the Park Festival from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. All pets are welcome, but they must be leashed. The pet parade begins at 10:00 am at the corner of East Main and Summit Street. There is no registration for the parade, so just show up and join in. You and your pet may also participate in the “Blessing of the Pets” and a pet costume contest. There will also be exhibitions, pet adoptions, a rabies clinic, microchipping, raffles, food and beverage vendors and much more.

The weather is supposed to be beautiful- sunny and a bit cool; perfect for the festival. Plan on a fun-filled day. Dress and leash your pet and come on down to Paws in the Park!

This is the Fifth Annual Paws in the Park Festival. The Humane Society of Blue Ridge sponsors it. For more information call 706-632-5224 or visit their web site www.humanesocietyofblueridge.org.
