The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Mr. Everett William Dalton, age 82, of Copperhill, TN who passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Life Care Center of Copper Basin in Ducktown, TN. Mr. Dalton was born on October 7, 1928 in Polk County, TN to the late Will and Bessie Stuart Dalton. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Dalton served his country in the United States Air Force. He was an avid Braves fan. Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Patterson Dalton and siblings, Paul, Oliver, and Glenn Dalton.

He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law: Wanda and Charles O’Neal of Copperhill, TN and Glenda and George Deal of Copperhill, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Carla Dalton of Zebulon, GA; sisters, Hazel Godfrey of Ellijay, GA and Fariel Coraway and husband, J.D. of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Manuel O’Neal and Amanda West; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Lamar O’Neal and Rev. Ed O’Neal officiating. Music will be by the Hoyt Payne Family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 7:00 p.m.
