The Akins Funeral of Copperhill announces the death of Mrs. Dorothy Jean Morrow, age 80, of Murphy, NC who passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at home.Mrs. Morrow was born on November 2, 1930 in Polk County, TN to the late David and Mae Wilson Hopkins. She was a member of Turtletown Baptist Church. Mrs. Morrow enjoyed crafts and her flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Morrow.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kaye and Darrell Ledford of Murphy, NC; brothers, Junior Hopkins of Turtletown, TN, Johnny Hopkins of Nelson, GA and Ronnie Hopkins of Memphis, TN; sisters, Christine Morrow of Turtletown, TN and Helen Ann Nix of Gainesville, GA; sister-in-law and special friend, Pauline Cain of Turtletown, TN; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ray Harper officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
