Richard Lee Shearer : Obituary

The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Richard Lee Shearer, age 52, of Carrollton, GA who passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA. Richard was born in Marietta, GA on October 27, 1958. He was a screen maker and developer with Screen Print Unlimited, Inc. of Douglasville, GA. Richard was a very hard worker and enjoyed gardening. He was preceded in death by his mother, Winona Wise Shearer.

He is survived by his father, Billy Shearer of Carrollton, GA; three brothers: Charles Melvin Shearer of Douglasville,GA, Tommy Lynn Shearer of Carrollton, GA and Mark Jackson Shearer of GA; aunt, Marlene Nix of Copperhill, TN also survives.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins Copperhill Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Hill cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, July 11, 2011 after 5:00 p.m.
