Reathel Marie Foster : Obituary

The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Mrs. Reathel Marie Foster, age 86, of Ellijay, GA who passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Heritage Hospice in Marietta, GAMrs. Foster was born on March 19, 1925 in Fannin County, GA to the late Bill Joe Brown and Oma Caledonia Postell. She worked as a machine operator at Harbor Roads. She was a member of Hipps Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Doyle Foster.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: John Michael Foster and Cherie Foster of Newnan, GA; daughter and sons-in-law: Jo Lynn Johnson and George Lambert of McCaysville, GA, Sandra Jane Rooks and the late Jim Rooks of Athens, GA, Cheryl Ann Boles and Bill Boles of Acworth, GA, and Jonene F. Sartin and Fred Sartin of Madison, Mississippi; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from the Hipps Chapel Church with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music will be by Mandy Davis and Glenda Davenport. Pallbearers will be Mike Foster, Jr., Drew Boles, Chris Jones, Clint Davis, Fred Sartin, David Foster, and Bill Boles. Interment will follow in Hipps Chapel Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
