Robert Lee Garrison : Obituary

Mr. Robert Lee “Bob” Garrison, age 62, of Blairsville, Georgia passed away early Saturday morning, June 18, 2011.

Bob was a native of Live Oak, Florida. He was a Vietnam veteran and was retired from the U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of Lt. Commander. Bob was a pilot; a member of House of Prayer Church, The Kiwanis Club, and Allegheny Masonic Lodge, #114. He had been preceded in death by his mother, Sara Lou Childress Garrison.

Bob is survived by and will be greatly missed his loving family: his wife of 40 years, Sheila Garrison; his father, Enoch Garrison, Jr.; three children: Josh Garrison, Micah Garrison, and Abbey and Ryan Glattli; a sister, Ann Garrison; four brothers: Enoch “Gary” Garrison, III and Myra; David Garrison, Paul Garrison, and Don and Terri Garrison; a sister, Ann Garrison; six grandchildren: Lance Garrison, Emma Garrison, Morgan Garrison, Luke Garrison, Madison Glattli, and Ashlyn Glattli; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville with Rev. Jerry Helton officiating. Interment will be in the House of Prayer Cemetery with the North Georgia Honor Guard and the U.S. Navy presenting Military Honors.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m..
