The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Charles Wesley Huffman, age 67, of Dallas, Ga., who died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at his home in Dallas, Ga.He was a native and former resident of Fannin County, son of the late Jack and Louise Thrasher Huffman. He was the former owner of American Corvette in Powder Springs, Ga.
He is survived by his wife Shirley (Fowler) Huffman of the home, four children: Jack Huffman and Donna Goodman of Dallas, Chris & Scott Smith of Douglasville, Ga., and Toni & Brad Kittrell of Hiram, Ga.; ten grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Akins Funeral Home, Blue Ridge, Ga., where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Thursday, June 9, 2011.
Funeral service will be at Akins Chapel at 3:00 PM Thursday, June 9, 2011, with Rev. Jimmy Cheatham officiating. Interment will be at Sugar Creek Church Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Ga. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
