Albert Charles Young : Obituary

The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Mr. Albert Charles Young, age 90, of Woodstock, GA who passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 in Amelia Gardens Health Care Center in Woodstock, GA. Mr. Young was born in Iron River, Michigan on September 17, 1920 to the late Stephen Young and Anna Albert Young. He was of the Catholic Faith.

Mr. Young was preceded in death by his wife Marion Young. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Keith Farmer of Woodstock, GA; sister, Eileen Wilhite of Genesse, Michigan; grandchildren, Cindy and husband Gary Carpenter of Clarksville, TN, and Michael Cheek of Addison, TX; and great grandchildren, Christy Carpenter and Michelle Carpenter.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
