Elmer Gene Fox : Obituary

The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Mr. Elmer Gene Fox, age 75 of Chatsworth, GA who passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 in the Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA. Mr. Fox was born on March 1, 1936 in Fannin County to the late Lorene Fox. He was retired after thirty years from Marta as a bus driver.

Survivors include wife, Frances Carolyn Cochran Fox of the home; two sons: Darrell Fox of Chatsworth, GA and Richard Fox of Buchanan, GA; three daughters: Janet Harris of Manchester, GA, Wanda Hambrick of Griffin, GA and Lisa of Greenville, SC; thirteen grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Roy Clore officiating. Interment will follow in the Stock Hill Cemetery with a “White Dove” release.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, May 24, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
