Mrs. Lorene Shuler, age 75, of McCaysville, Ga, passed away at her home after an extended illness, on Sunday, May 15, 2011.Lorene was born on July 17, 1935 to Mr. Robert and Mrs. Martha Cantrell Ensley in Polk County, TN. She was a member of the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church. Lorene was a loving mother and grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Shuler, sister Juanita O’Neal and son-in-law James Pierce.
Lorene was survived by daughter Carol Seabolt of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Debbie Shuler of Blue Ridge; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Scott Wise of McCaysville; grandson and wife, Matt and Taisha Seabolt of Athens, Ga; niece, Jan Frady; nephews, Anthony and Russell O’Neal; great nephews: Aaron Cole and Peyton O’Neal and great niece, Maggie Cole.
Services for Mrs. Shuler will take place Monday, May 16, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Melvin O’Neal officiating and Lorene’s nephew, Russell O’Neal providing the music. The gentlemen serving as pallbearers include: Anthony O’Neal, Russell O’Neal, Aaron Cole, Daniel Shuler, Paul Allen, and Wesley Payne. Burial will follow immediately after at the Patterson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until service time.
