Jessie Daniel Loudermilk : Obituary

Jessie Daniel Loudermilk, age 79, of Turtletown, TN who passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011.Jessie was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He was retired from the Tennessee Copper Company where he had worked in mining for over thirty seven years. He was preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Florence Worley Loudermilk, daughter, Deborah Jean Allison and siblings, Junior and Doc Loudermilk.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty eight years, Florence Verner Loudermilk of the home; grandson, Daniel (Cindy) Allison of Turtletown, TN; one great granddaughter, Emma Jean Allison; siblings, Bill Loudermilk, Jerry Loudermilk, Opal Jones and Irene Loudermilk, all of Turtletown, TN. Many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 5th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Doug Howard and Rev. Roger Hyatt officiating. Music will be by Estelle Loudermilk. Pallbearers include Raymond Allison, Mike Loudermilk, J.M.Verner, Markie Huffman, Bob Baliles and Larry Allen. Honorary pallbearers include Mike Moreland, Billy Ray Ledford, Jerry Loudermilk, Jack Collins, Greg Lovern, Sam Murray, Jason Murphy, Benny Loudermilk, Brian Todd, Bill Loudermilk and Roger Thomasson. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
