Clara Ledford : Obituary

Mrs. Clara Jo Ledford, age 61 of Hiawassee, went home to Jesus on Sunday, April 24, 2011 following an extended illness.
She was born on June 24, 1949 to the late Winford Gibson and Margie Johnson of Hiawassee. Mrs. Ledford was preceded in death by her Husband of 37 years, Charles Ledford; her father, Winford Gibson and brothers, Willie, William and Jess Gibson.

Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, Danny & Lisa Ledford of Cartersville, Georgia, son, Gary Ledford of Hiawassee, son, David Ledford of Hiawassee, daughter, Charlene Barnard of Hayesville, North Carolina, daughter & son-in-law, Andi & Barry Green of Young Harris, son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Leigh Ledford of Hayesville, daughter & son-in-law, Tammy & Steve Keyes of Hiawassee, daughter & son-in-law, Amber & Dave Franklin of Hiawassee; Mother, Margie Johnson; sister & brother-in-law, Geraldine & David Davenport of Hayesville; sister, Jeanette Wade of Hiawassee; sister & brother-in-law Angie & Bruce Hamilton, Mrs. Ledford is further survived by 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee with Rev. Harold Ledford and Rev Kurt Ledford officiating. Music will be provided by Chris Rumsfield. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as Pallbearers: David Ledford, Jess Gibson, Bruce Hamilton, Ricky Wade, Shane Hughes, Doug Franklin and Honorary Pallbearers are Rick Riddle and Billy Keyes. Interment will follow in Lower Bell Creek Cemetery.

The family will recieve friends on Monday, April 25 from 6 until 9 p.m.
