Edward Leon Deal : Obituary

Mr. Edward Leon Deal, age 75 passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 in the Life Care Center of Cleveland, TN.Mr. Deal was born on May 4, 1935 in Polk County, TN to the late Johnny Martin and Hattie Lois Walden Deal. He had worked at Rogers Dye of Dalton, GA. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Deal was preceded in death by siblings; Johnny Wayne Deal, Albert Leon Deal, Hattie Marie Deal and Thomas Henry Deal.

Survivors include his wife, Helen F. Deal of Quincy, IL; special step-daughter, Vickie Deeter of Cleveland, TN; children, Janie and Dale Shaffer of Cleveland, TN, Debbie and Michael Young of Quincy, IL, Janet Deal of Quincy, IL, Angel and Mitchell Dalton of Dalton, GA; Eddie and Carolyn Deal of Chicago, IL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vance and Sue Deal of Copperhill, TN and Ronald and Barbara Deal of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Beatrice Martin of Cleveland, TN, Betty and brother-in-law, Bob Cox of Cleveland, TN and Cathy Cheathem of Cleveland, TN; and fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Chapel with Rev. Charles Moore and Rev. Scotty Baker officiating. Music will be by Casey Dillard. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Dalton, Vance Deal, Jason Deaver, Ronnie “R.J.” Cox, Johnny Wayne Deal and John Cox. Interment will follow in the Mount Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Copperhill, TN.
